About Me

My name is Danielle Rutherford, and I love food.... especially pasta. In my family we had some of our best moments, and meals, at our dinner table, and I think that strongly contributed to the emphasis I place on food. Whether we care to admit it or not, eating is a large part of what brings people together, and I enjoy the experience in its entirety.

Growing up, my mother was one of those mothers that made us try everything, "at least once." Although that was annoying at the time, I have to thank her for it, because it made me appreciate food and love the excitement of trying new things. Therefore, this blog is a representation of my journey with food. It includes reviews, recommendations, recipes, and my personal experiences with all things FOOD.

I graduated with a marketing degree in 2009, and for the last two years I was working as a program coordinator in Boston, MA (Although I just recently relocated to Santa Monica, CA). While bored at work one day I spotted my co-worker (also bored) perusing various food blog sites. I started to do the same, and it inspired me to share my experiences with food as well. I have been privileged enough to try some amazing restaurants and also to experiment with my own creations, and I wanted to share my experiences with others.

I do want to make one thing clear - I know I still have a long way to go before I'm the same level as a professional chef, or even as my mother, but I'm having fun while learning, and I hope you have fun reading about my adventures. I wanted this blog to explain my love of food, and for my readers to be able to experience food the way I do. I encourage anyone reading to send comments about restaurants they would like reviewed, or dishes they'd like to see made!

Buon Appetito!
